For the seventh time during the 2009 season, NBC drew over 20 million viewers for NFL coverage.
Sunday’s Eagles/Giants game drew a 12.7/21 fast-national rating and 20.9 million viewers on NBC, up 57% in ratings and viewership from Washington/Ravens in Week 14 last year (8.1/13, 13.3 mil).
Compared to last week’s Vikings/Cardinals game (12.5/19, 20.9 mil), Sunday’s matchup was up 2% in ratings and even in viewership.
This marks seventh time this season that NBC has drawn at least 20 million viewers for an NFL telecast. By comparison, the network had drawn over 20 million viewers only five times from 2006-08.
Through Week 14, NBC is averaging an 11.9/19 rating and 19.6 million viewers for NFL coverage, up 20% and 22%, respectively, from last year. The 19.6 million viewers is the most for NBC through this point of the season since the network resumed airing NFL games in ’06.
