The Panthers’ upset victory over the Vikings drew a 12.0 overnight rating on NBC Sunday night, down 22% from Giants/Cowboys in Week 15 last year (15.4), and down 13% from Eagles/Giants last week (13.8).
The 12.0 overnight is the lowest for Sunday Night Football since Week 7, when Cardinals/Giants drew a 10.4 opposite Game 6 of the Yankees/Angels ALCS.
Sunday’s game drew a 42.1 rating in Minneapolis and a 23.1 in Charlotte.
