With just two telecasts to go, Monday Night Football is up double-digits compared to last year.
Through Week 14, ESPN is averaging a 9.0 U.S. rating and 14.4 million viewers for Monday Night Football telecasts, up 18% in ratings and 20% in viewership from last year.
ESPN is on pace for the highest rated, most-viewed Monday Night Football season since 2005, the last year the franchise aired on broadcast network ABC.
Monday’s Cardinals/49ers game drew an 8.3/14 U.S. rating and 13.1 million viewers, up 12% in ratings and 13% in viewers from Buccaneers/Panthers last year (7.4, 11.6 mil). Compared to last week’s Ravens/Packers game, ratings were flat and viewership was down 3%.
So far this season, 13 of the 15 Monday Night Football telecasts have had an increase in ratings compared to last year, including 11 games with double-digit increases.
