Mark Sanchez, Terrell Owens and the city of Toronto were not enough to draw in the viewers for NFL Network Thursday night.
Thursday’s Jets/Bills game drew a 1.9/3 U.S. rating and 3.1 million viewers on NFL Network, flat in ratings but down 19% in viewership from Cardinals/Eagles in Week 13 last year (1.9, 3.8 mil). Keep in mind that Cardinals/Eagles game aired on Thanksgiving night.
Jets/Bills stands as the second-least viewed NFL telecast of the season on any network, ahead of only Dolphins/Panthers in Week 11 (3.0 mil). Additionally, the 1.9 rating is tied as the lowest of the season.
Jets/Bills was beaten handily by the Oregon St./Oregon college football game airing on ESPN at the same time. This marks the second straight week that the NFL on NFL Network has been outdrawn head-to-head by college football on ESPN.
Keep in mind ESPN is in substantially more homes than NFL Network.
