Despite a season high rating for Chargers/Cowboys, CBS saw declines for both games of its NFL doubleheader last Sunday.
Last Sunday’s NFL national window (Chargers/Cowboys) drew a 14.7 final rating and 24.1 million viewers on CBS, off 6% in ratings and viewership versus last year’s comparable window (mostly Cowboys/Steelers, FOX), and down 11% and 13%, respectively, from last week’s window (mostly Cowboys/Giants, FOX).
The game stands as the highest rated and second-most viewed NFL telecast of the season on CBS. More details on the telecast can be found here.
Earlier in the day, regional action featuring Bengals/Vikings drew a 9.7 final rating and 15.7 million viewers, up slightly in ratings from a 9.6 for last year’s comparable window (mostly Eagles/Giants, FOX).
Compared to last week’s comparable window (mostly Eagles/Falcons, FOX), Sunday’s telecast was up 9% in ratings and viewership from an 8.9 and 14.4 million.
