Ratings inched up for the NHL on NBC last week.
Sunday’s Penguins/Flyers game drew a 1.0 final rating on NBC, up 11% from a 0.9 for the network’s third NHL telecast last season (Red Wings/Penguins, 2/8/09), and up 43% from a 0.7 for Red Wings/Blackhawks the previous week.
Viewership for the game was not immediately available.
The 1.0 rating is tied as the highest for a non-Winter Classic regular season game on NBC since March ’07* (1.2). Again excluding the Winter Classic, this is only the third time since ’07 that NBC has managed to draw a 1.0 rating for a regular season game.
