College basketball drew decent numbers on CBS last weekend.
Last Saturday’s Texas/Connecticut game drew a 1.7 final rating on CBS, up 70% from a 1.0 for Memphis/Tennessee on the comparable date last year, and up 183% from a 0.6 for Illinois/Michigan St. last week.
The 1.7 is the third-highest of the season for a college basketball game on CBS, behind Louisville/Kentucky on January 2 (1.9) and Kansas/Tennessee on January 17 (2.5).
Texas/Connecticut was the final game of a college basketball tripleheader on CBS.
Earlier in the day, regional action (Ohio St./West Virginia or Oregon St./Cal) drew a 1.4 final rating. The first telecast of the day, featuring another slate of regional games (Michigan. St/Minnesota or Mississippi St./Alabama), drew a 0.9 final rating.
