NBC viewers in the Mountain and Pacific time zones will see a television rarity on Friday afternoon — live coverage of the Olympics.
Friday’s Men’s Hockey semifinal between Team USA and the winner of the Czech Republic/Finland quarterfinal will air live in all time zones on NBC, the network announced Wednesday. The game will air at 3 PM ET (2 PM CT, 1 PM MT, 12 PM PT).
This is the first time during these Winter Olympics that NBC has aired live coverage outside of the Eastern and Central Time Zones.
The last time NBC aired Olympic programming live from coast-to-coast was in 2008, when the network aired the USA/Spain Men’s Basketball Gold Medal Game at 2:30 AM ET (11:30 PM PT).
