Overnight ratings held steady for Saturday night’s Budweiser Shootout.
FOX drew a 4.1 overnight rating for the Budweiser Shootout on Saturday, even with last year, but down 9% from ’08. The 4.1 overnight is tied as the lowest ever for the event on FOX.
Though not particularly high compared to past years, the 4.1 overnight for the Budweiser Shootout topped every single Saturday night NASCAR race on broadcast (FOX, ABC) last year.
Coverage of the Budweiser Shootout helped FOX easily win the night on broadcast in total viewers and among adults 18-49.
Earlier in the day, Daytona 500 Pole Qualifying drew a 1.6 overnight — down 24% from a 2.1 last year, and down 41% from a 2.7 in ’08. Keep in mind that the event aired on a Sunday in previous years.
