Entering the Final Four, ratings for the NCAA Tournament are up slightly on CBS.
CBS is averaging a 5.4 rating for the 2010 NCAA Tournament, up a tick from a 5.3 last year, and up 4% from a 5.2 in ’08. This does not include the play-in game, which aired on ESPN and drew a 0.8 U.S. rating.
Keep in mind that the 2009 NCAA Tournament was the third-lowest rated ever, and the 2008 edition was the second-lowest rated.
Of the 23 telecast windows on CBS, ten have had declines in ratings, nine have had increases and four have been even.
Last Sunday’s Baylor/Duke Elite Eight game ranks as the highest rated, most-viewed game of the tournament, with an 8.6 rating and 13.8 million viewers.
