Though no match for the NFL Draft, the NBA still held up fairly well for TNT on Thursday.
Thursday’s Lakers/Thunder Game 3 drew a 2.5 U.S. rating and 3.9 million viewers on TNT, down 4% in ratings, but up 3% in viewership from Lakers/Jazz Game 3 last year (2.6, 3.8 mil), and the most-viewed NBA Playoff game on cable this year.
Oklahoma City’s victory ranked as the third most-viewed program of the night on cable. The game finished #2 for the night among adults 18-49 (1.7) and adults 18-34 (1.9), as well men 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54.
Earlier in the night, Game 3 between the Cavaliers and Bulls drew a 1.8 U.S. rating and 2.8 million viewers on TNT, down 18% and 19%, respectively, from Celtics/Bulls Game 3 last year (2.2, 3.4 mil).
The Bulls’ win was the 7th most-viewed cable program of the night. The game ranked #4 among adults 18-49 (1.0) and 18-34 (1.0), and #3 among men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.
