Ratings and viewership increased dramatically for Saturday’s Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on ESPN.
Featuring the inductions of Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith, among others, the ceremony drew a 1.1 U.S. rating and 1.518 million viewers on ESPN Saturday night — up 83% in ratings and 97% in viewership from last year (0.6, 770,000), and up 57% and 60%, respectively, from 2008 (0.7, 949,000).
To put that in perspective, the 2009 Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony — featuring the induction of Michael Jordan — drew a 1.1 and 1.659 million viewers last September.
