Recent sports TV ratings news, including local ratings for Sunday night’s Cowboys/Washington games and increases for both the premiere of The OT on FOX and the NFL Kickoff pregame special on NBC.
- Sunday’s primetime Cowboys/Washington game drew a 39.6 rating in Dallas-Ft. Worth, up 57% from the team’s early afternoon opener against the Buccaneers last year (25.2). The game also drew a 37.2 in Washington, D.C., up 45% from last year’s Washington/Giants opener (25.7), which aired at 4:15 PM local time. (Fang’s Bites)

- Thursday’s NFL Opening Kickoff 2010 one-hour pregame special drew a 7.4 final rating and 11.460 million viewers on NBC, up 28% in ratings and 24% in viewership from last year (5.8, 9.234 mil) and up 28% and 30%, respectively, from 2007 (5.8, 8.814 mil).
