Ratings and viewership increased for Sunday’s Week 12 NFL national window.
NFL action featuring Eagles/Bears in 73% of TV markets earned a 15.3 final rating and 26.610 million viewers on FOX Sunday afternoon, up 7% in ratings and 13% in viewership from last year (CHI/MIN*: 14.3, 23.559 mil), and up 6% and 14%, respectively, from 2008 (NYG/AZ*: 14.5, 23.256 mil).
The telecast ranks as the sixth-most viewed NFL telecast of the season. Five of the ten most-viewed games this season have aired on FOX.
Keep in mind this does not include Patriots/Lions on CBS Thanksgiving Day.
So far this season, at least eleven NFL telecasts have topped 25 million viewers. By comparison, just nine games all of last season topped 25 million, and only three games hit that mark two seasons ago.
Sunday’s telecast topped Sunday Night Football on NBC (SD/IND: 11.4, 19.100 mil), marking the eleventh time in twelve weeks — and the 20th time in the past 21 NFL weeks — that the national window has outdrawn SNF.
