The Liberty Bowl will move to ABC this season, increasing the network’s bowl game slate to just two games.
ABC will air this season’s Liberty Bowl, marking the first time 1980 that the event has aired on broadcast television. The game will be televised on Saturday, December 31, at 3:30 PM ET.
In addition to the Liberty Bowl, ABC is scheduled to carry the January 2 Outback Bowl.
For the second year in a row, the entire Bowl Championship Series (Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Orange Bowl, Fiesta Bowl and BCS title game) will air on cable’s ESPN.
