NBA viewers will soon know which games are likely to be canceled next season.
The 2011-12 NBA schedule will be released on Tuesday, according to NBA.com. The July 19 release date is much earlier than usual; last year’s schedule was released on August 10, and the 2009-10 schedule was released on August 4.
NBA TV will air a schedule release special at 2 PM ET Tuesday.
The NBA is currently in the midst of a lockout. In 1998, the NBA schedule was released on July 23 and the first two weeks of the season were canceled on October 13.
