For the first time this season, ratings and viewership increased for ESPN’s Monday Night Football.
The Week 6 Jets/Dolphins Monday Night Football game drew a 7.8 U.S. rating and 12.062 million viewers on ESPN, up 26% in ratings and 25% in viewership from Week 6 last year (TEN/JAX: 6.2, 9.666M), but down 6% and 11%, respectively, form 2009 (SD/DEN: 8.3, 13.471M).
This marks the first time all season that ESPN has had an increase in ratings or viewership for Monday Night Football (seven telecasts).
Monday’s game drew a 19.6 rating in Miami-Ft. Lauderdale (12.9 on ESPN, 6.7 on local affiliate) and a 14.4 in New York (10.4 on ESPN, 4.0 on local affiliate).
For the season, ESPN is averaging an 8.5 U.S. rating and 13.421 million viewers for Monday Night Football.
