For the first time this season, ratings and viewership declined for the NFL on NFL Network.
The Week 15 Jaguars/Falcons Thursday Night Football game earned a 2.5 U.S. rating and 4.0 million viewers on NFL Network last Thursday, down 14% in ratings and 19% in viewership from Week 15 last year (SF/SD: 2.9, 4.890M), and up 34% and 36%, respectively, from Week 15 in 2009 (IND/JAX: 3.8, 6.195M).
The game ranks as the lowest rated and least-viewed NFL game of the season on NFL Network, and the first of the season to have declines compared to last year.
Two nights later, Cowboys/Buccaneers earned a 3.3 and 5.6 million viewers on NFL Network. There was no Saturday night game in Week 15 last year.
The Cowboys attract some of the largest numbers of the season for NFL Network, but Saturday’s game tied as the second-lowest rated of the season.
