CBS earned impressive numbers for NFL action on the final day of the season.
The Week 17 NFL national window on CBS earned a 15.1 final rating and 27.004 million viewers January 1, up 56% in ratings and 61% in viewership from the network’s Week 17 national window last season (TEN/IND*: 9.7, 16.766M), and up 35% and 43%, respectively, from Week 17 in the 2009-10 season (PIT/MIA*: 11.2, 18.844M).
The telecast ranks as the third-most viewed of the season on CBS, behind only the Dolphins/Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game (30.901M) and the Week 15 national window, featuring Patriots/Broncos (29.7M).
Earlier in the day, regional action on CBS scored an 8.1 and 13.331 million viewers, up 11% in ratings and 8% in viewership from last season (7.3, 12.328M), and up 5% and 3%, respectively, from the 2009-10 season (7.7, 12.945M).
