- Bayless Nominated For Emmy: ESPN2 talker Skip Bayless has been nominated for the ‘Outstanding Sports Personality – Studio Analyst’ Sports Emmy, alongside NBC’s Cris Collinsworth, Turner Sports’ Charles Barkley, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit and others. - Coaches Smart and Martin Join CBS/Turner Studio Coverage: VCU head men’s basketball coach Shaka Smart and Kansas State head men’s basketball coach Frank Martin will join CBS/Turner Sports coverage of the ongoing 2012 NCAA Tournament this weekend. Smart will work alongside Ernie Johnson, Jr., Steve Smith and Seth Davis in Turner’s Atlanta studios Thursday through Saturday, while Martin will guest alongside Greg Gumbel, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley and Greg Anthony in CBS’ New York studios Saturday and Sunday. - Vin Scully Cuts Back on Dodgers Schedule: Longtime Los Angeles Dodgers play-by-play voice Vin Scully plans to cut back on his broadcasting schedule this season by only calling games in California or Arizona.
