Regional MLB action featuring Brewers/Cardinals in 72% of markets drew a mere 1.3 overnight rating on FOX Saturday afternoon, down 35% from coverage featuring Braves/Giants in a later timeslot last year (2.0), and down 28% from coverage featuring Mets/Phillies in 2010 (1.8). - NFL Draft Up Slightly on ESPN: Coverage of the 2012 NFL Draft averaged a 2.0 U.S. rating and 2.924 million viewers on ESPN and ESPN2, up a tick in ratings and virtually flat in viewership compared to last year (1.9, 2.918M). Friday’s action drew a 1.9 U.S. rating and 2.679 million viewers on ESPN, up 19% in ratings and 12% in viewership from last year’s coverage (1.6, 2.386M), which aired primarily on ESPN2 opposite NBA playoff games on ESPN. Saturday’s coverage drew a 1.1 and 1.437 million, down a tick in ratings and 14% in viewership from last year (1.2, 1.668M). (ESPN)
