After working in the studio for the past five years, Cal Ripken Jr. is headed to the broadcast booth.
Ripken Jr. will join play-by-play voice Ernie Johnson Jr. and analyst John Smoltz on TBS coverage of the MLB Wild Card round and Division Series, Turner Sports announced Thursday.
He will rejoin the studio team of Matt Winer, David Wells, and Dennis Eckersley during the League Championship Series.
Other TBS changes for the upcoming postseason include the return of Ernie Johnson Jr. as the lead play-by-play voice, as well as the return of David Aldridge as a sideline reporter.
