The good times continue to roll for Notre Dame football on NBC.
Last Saturday’s BYU/Notre Dame college football game drew a 2.4 final rating and 3.7 million viewers on NBC, up 118% in ratings and 115% in viewership from Navy/Notre Dame last year (1.1, 1.724M), and up 85% and 99%, respectively, from Western Michigan/Notre Dame in 2010 (1.3, 1.863M).
Ratings and viewership have now increased by at least 50% for the past four Notre Dame telecasts on NBC. Two of those four telecasts have had increases of at least 100% in both measures.
The only Notre Dame telecast on NBC this season to suffer a decline was the home opener against Purdue (down 10% in ratings and 14% in viewership).
Though up big from last year, BYU/Notre Dame was outdrawn head-to-head by Florida/South Carolina on CBS (3.1, 4.9M) and regional college football action on ABC (2.6, 4.0M). A pair of Noon ET telecasts on ESPN and ABC also drew better numbers, as did ABC’s “Saturday Night Football.”
