NASCAR will leave ESPN and Turner Sports for a return engagement with NBC, according to Sports Business Daily.
NBC Sports will share NASCAR television rights with Fox Sports starting in the 2015 season, Sports Business Daily reported Tuesday. ESPN and TNT will not return as broadcast partners.
It was not immediately clear how NBC and FOX will divvy up the rights. NASCAR will reportedly hold a press conference later Tuesday to announce the new arrangement.
NBC Sports is also expected to pick up the second half of the NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule. Currently, ESPN holds the rights to all races.
NBC last aired NASCAR coverage from 2001-06, sharing rights with TNT. ESPN was shut out of NASCAR coverage over that same period.
