Longtime Director Sandy Grossman Dies
- Emmy Award winning TV sports director Sandy Grossman passed away Wednesday at age 78. Best known for his work with Pat Summerall and John Madden on CBS and FOX NFL broadcasts, Grossman directed the NBA on CBS for all eighteen years the network held rights, and the NHL on FOX for its five-year run. Overall, he worked ten Super Bowls, eighteen NBA Finals, and five Stanley Cup finals. (NYT)
After 25 Years, Collinsworth Out at “Inside the NFL”
- NBC NFL analyst Cris Collinsworth is leaving Showtime’s Inside the NFL studio show, the Miami Herald reported last week. Collinsworth joined the show in 1989, just after retiring from the NFL.
