One week after hitting a season-low, viewership for the IndyCar Series hit a two-year high on NBCSN.
Last week’s IndyCar Series race from Iowa earned 444,000 viewers on NBCSN, down 52% from last year on ABC (928K) but up 75% from the rain-delayed 2012 race on NBCSN (254K). The race ranks as the most-watched IndyCar telecast on NBCSN since Long Beach in 2012 (468K).
The previous high was 424,000 viewers for the Firestone 600 in June.
So far this season, NBCSN has averaged 391,000 viewers for IndyCar coverage — up 37% from the comparable number of races on the network last year (285K).
