The Ravens/Steelers rivalry delivered unspectacular numbers to NBC Sunday.
The Week 9 Ravens/Steelers Sunday Night Football game drew an 11.9 overnight rating on NBC, up 4% from Colts/Texans last year (11.4), down 19% from Cowboys/Falcons in 2012 (14.5), and the network’s third-lowest overnight of the season. Only Packers/Saints opposite the World Series in Week 8 (11.4) and Eagles/Giants in Week 6 (11.6) had a lower overnight.
The Steelers’ comfortable win was the seventh game on NBC this season — and the sixth straight — to be decided by at least 20 points.
For the week, Ravens/Steelers finished well behind both the NFL national window on CBS (18.6) and the singleheader window on FOX (14.3). SNF has now trailed the singleheader in back-to-back weeks.
Pittsburgh (46.2) and Baltimore (36.3) were the top markets, with Las Vegas (19.3) ranking as the top neutral market. New Orleans (18.2) and Cleveland (16.0) rounded out the top five.
