FOX scored the season’s second-best overnight for the NFL singleheader.
The Week 12 NFL singleheader window, featuring Lions/Patriots in 48% of markets, drew a 12.9 overnight rating on FOX Sunday afternoon, up 12% from coverage on CBS last year (11.5) and up 23% from coverage on CBS in 2012 (10.5).
The 12.9 is the second-highest of the season for the NFL singleheader, trailing only a 14.3 in week nine. The six singleheader windows on FOX rank as the six highest rated of the season in the metered markets.
Despite the strong numbers, the telecast trailed NBC’s Sunday Night Football (14.0) — the first time since Week 3 that the singleheader on FOX has failed to at least tie SNF.
