The new Premier Boxing Champions series has added another broadcast partner.
CBS Sports has agreed to a multi-year deal with the Premier Boxing Champions series that will include up to eight live telecasts this year on the CBS broadcast network. The debut telecast is scheduled for April 4 at 3 PM ET, with each of the subsequent windows set for 4:30 PM.
The PBC already has deals with NBC Sports and Spike TV. NBC and NBCSN will air 20 telecasts, including five on NBC in primetime. Spike will air at least one event per month, equaling nine telecasts this year and 12 each in 2016 and 2017.
The CBS deal has the added element of cross-promotion. CBS will use its PBC coverage to promote corporate sibling Showtime’s boxing coverage, and vice versa.
