Fox Sports newcomer Pete Rose will make his TV debut early next week.
Rose will debut as a Fox Sports MLB analyst Monday, appearing on multiple Fox Sports 1 shows. His day will begin with a segment on America’s Pregame, followed by a full hour on MLB Whiparound and a taped segment on Fox Sports Live. He will also appear on MLB Whiparound Tuesday and Wednesday.
Fox Sports hired Rose as a guest analyst last month, and he is expected to make at least 25 appearances on the FOX family of networks this season.
Rose has been banned from baseball since 1989 for betting on games while manager of the Cincinnati Reds. He applied for reinstatement in March, his second time officially doing so. Some have described the Fox Sports gig as an indication that MLB is warming to the all-time hits leader.
