ESPN Parts Ways With Cowherd
- ESPN has parted ways with ESPN Radio host Colin Cowherd, the network announced Thursday. Cowherd, who hosted multiple talk shows during his ESPN run, had been with the company since 2004. The Big Lead reported Thursday that Cowherd is in talks with Fox Sports, where former ESPN executive Jamie Horowitz now oversees cable programming. (ESPN, The Big Lead)
McNabb Suspended
- Fox Sports indefinitely suspended NFL analyst Donovan McNabb earlier this week, two weeks after the former Eagles QB received his second DUI arrest in as many years. He was not suspended after his first arrest, which took place in December 2013. McNabb is also taking a leave of absence from his gig on NBC Sports Radio. (CNN Money)
Grande New Voice of Bellator MMA
- Boston Celtics radio broadcaster Sean Grande has been named the voice of Bellator MMA fighting telecasts on Spike TV, it was announced Monday. Awful Announcing reported the news last week.
