For the second straight race, NBCSN scored one of its largest IndyCar audiences.
IndyCar Series racing from Milwaukee drew 532,000 viewers on NBCSN Sunday afternoon, up 66% from last year (320K), up 171% from 2013 (196K), and the network’s largest IndyCar audience since Baltimore in 2011 (591K). The previous high over that span was set just two weeks earlier by the Fontana race (512K).
Overall, Milwaukee earned the third-largest IndyCar audience on NBCSN since the network began airing races in 2009. Only the aforementioned Baltimore race and Edmonton that same year (642K) attracted more viewers.
Along with Fontana race, NBCSN has now earned two of its seven largest IndyCar audiences this season.
Keep in mind Sunday’s race did not have to face any NASCAR competition, while last year’s aired opposite racing from Michigan on ESPN.
