Big Gains, Small Numbers, For PBC on Spike and NBCSN
- Coverage of the Premier Boxing Champions series drew 679,000 viewers on Spike TV Friday night, up 52% from the network’s most recent telecast in June (446K). The following night, NBCSN drew 362,000 for its second PBC telecast — up 50% from its inaugural event last month (241K), but the second-smallest audience for the PBC on any network. New Season-Low For NASCAR Xfinity Series
- NASCAR Xfinity Series racing from Mid-Ohio drew 1.0 million viewers on NBCSN Saturday, down 30% from last year (1.5M) and down 21% from the inaugural edition of the race in 2013 (1.3M). The race ranks as the least-watched Xfinity Series telecast on any network this season, falling below the previous mark set at Iowa two weeks earlier (1.04M to 1.02M). (via ShowBuzz Daily)
Golf Channel Has Most-Watched PGA Championship Week
- Golf Channel averaged 107,000 total day viewers during the week of the PGA Championship, the network’s highest average for shoulder programming of the event since it became Nielsen rated in 2006. Viewership increased 6% from last year (101K) and 5% from 2013 (102K). Golf Channel also had its most-watched British Open week this year, as well as its second-most watched weeks at The Masters and U.S. Open. (Golf Channel)
