The long-reported move of Colin Cowherd to Fox Sports has been made official.
Cowherd has joined Fox Sports as a radio host and television personality, it was announced Wednesday, a move that had been expected from the moment he and ESPN failed to come to terms. The Big Lead first reported talks between the sides last month, while The Hollywood Reporter broke news of the deal on Wednesday.
Though Fox Sports did not disclose financial terms, the sides agreed to a four-year contract per The Hollywood Reporter.
Under the deal, Cowherd’s radio show The Herd will air on Fox Sports Radio and be simulcast on Fox Sports 1 each afternoon. The simulcast previously aired on ESPNU. Cowherd will also contribute to Fox Sports’ pro and college football coverage, with a regular role on the FOX NFL Kickoff pregame show.
He is also rumored to have a daily Fox Sports 1 show in his future, though that was not announced in Wednesday’s press release.
