ESPN has officially re-signed radio host Ryen Russillo. In other news, the network has also announced the replacement for Tim Tebow on SEC Network’s SEC Nation, and named Joe Tessitore the replacement for Rece Davis on its Thursday night college football games.
ESPN Makes Russillo Extension Official
- ESPN has officially announced a multi-year contract extension with radio host Ryen Russillo, who will continue co-hosting a 1-4 PM ET show on ESPN Radio. Russillo will work alongside Danny Kanell, who is filling the vacancy left by his previous co-host Scott Van Pelt. In addition to keeping his radio role, Russillo will also have an “expanded” presence on ESPN studio shows, primarily those pertaining to the NBA. (ESPN Media Zone)
McElroy to Replace Tebow on ESPN’s SEC Nation
- ESPN has named SEC Network analyst Greg McElroy the replacement for Tim Tebow on the weekly SEC Nation studio show. McElroy, who made his broadcasting debut last year as a halftime and postgame studio analyst, will work alongside the returning Marcus Spears, Paul Finebaum and host Joe Tessitore. (ESPN Media Zone)
Tessitore Gets Thursday Night CFB Assignment
- Speaking of Joe Tessitore, the ESPN broadcaster will replace Rece Davis as the voice of Thursday night college football games on the network. Tessitore will work with returning analysts Jesse Palmer and David Pollack.
