One week after hitting a season-high, the NFL singleheader window scored its lowest overnight of the season.
The Week 8 NFL singleheader window drew a 9.5 overnight rating on CBS Sunday afternoon, down 23% from coverage on FOX featuring Eagles/Cardinals last year (12.3) and down 6% from coverage on CBS in 2013 (10.1).
The 9.5 is the lowest of the season for the singleheader window (eight telecasts), falling below the previous mark of 10.4 in Week 4. The window hit a season-high 12.2 overnight on CBS the previous week, though that telecast was boosted by a close Jets/Patriots game.
For the season, the 9.5 overnight is the fifth-lowest for any NFL window on broadcast television (42 telecasts) — ahead of only the early doubleheader windows in Weeks 5 (9.1) and 7 (8.7) and the two 9:30 AM ET London games.
