Sprint Unlimited Hits FOX Low
- NASCAR’s Sprint Unlimited earned a 2.6 overnight rating on FOX Saturday night, down 19% from last year (3.2) but up 44% from 2014 on Fox Sports 1 (1.8). The 2.6 is the lowest for the event on the FOX broadcast network (12 telecasts dating back to 2001).
Kansas/Oklahoma Rematch Up on ESPN
- Kansas/Oklahoma college basketball scored a 1.4 overnight rating on ESPN Saturday afternoon, up 27% from South Carolina/Kentucky in a similar timeslot last year (1.1). The Jayhawks’ win, a rematch of a triple-overtime #1 vs. #2 thriller in January, doubled competing coverage of Texas A&M/LSU on CBS (0.7). In other college hoops action, Indiana/Michigan State drew a 1.35 overnight on CBS Sunday afternoon, up 9% from Illinois/Wisconsin last year (1.24).
Slight Dip For Bruins/Wings on NBC
- NBC scored a 1.1 overnight rating for Sunday’s Bruins/Red Wings NHL regular season game, down a tick from Penguins/Blackhawks in an earlier timeslot last year (1.2) but the league’s highest indoor overnight of the season (not counting the All-Star Game).
