Fox Sports has reportedly parted ways with Tony Siragusa. In other news, the Brewers have held onto rising star Brian Anderson, and former Stanford coach Johnny Dawkins will appear in CBS/Turner Sports’ NCAA Tournament studio.
FOX Dumps Siragusa
- Fox Sports has parted ways with NFL sideline analyst Tony Siragusa, The Big Lead reported Wednesday. Siragusa had been with the network since 2003, working most of those years alongside Kenny Albert and Daryl Johnston. Perhaps portending his departure, FOX shifted him to the Thom Brennaman/Charles Davis team last year. (The Big Lead)
Brewers Extend Anderson
- Milwaukee Brewers play-by-play voice Brian Anderson, best known nationally for his work with Turner Sports, will remain with the team under a multi-year contract extension. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported the deal earlier this month, but it was actually finalized as far back as January. Anderson’s new deal will run the length of his national contract with Turner. (Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel)
Former Stanford Coach Dawkins to Guest on CBS/Turner
- Recently fired Stanford head basketball coach Johnny Dawkins will serve as a guest analyst on CBS/Turner Sports’ coverage of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, working in the New York studio alongside Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley, Clark Kellogg and hosts Ernie Johnson and Greg Gumbel. Also appearing this weekend is Vanderbilt coach Kevin Stallings, who will work Saturday and Sunday with the Atlanta studio team. (Turner Sports)
