After hitting a primetime low on NBC the previous week, Premier Boxing Champions rebounded in its first primetime edition on CBS.
The first primetime edition of the PBC on CBS scored a 1.8 overnight rating on Saturday night, the highest overnight for the series since NBC drew a 1.9 in June of last year. The 1.8 is easily the highest yet for the PBC on CBS, which prior to Saturday had only aired during the afternoon.
Overall, the 1.8 is the fourth-highest for any PBC telecast since the series began in March of last year, behind NBC’s first three primetime windows.
Compared to the most recent PBC cards on primetime network television, overnights increased 125% over NBC’s telecast the previous week (0.8) and 50% over coverage on FOX in April (1.2).
Head-to-head, PBC on CBS topped competing Major League Baseball coverage on FOX (1.6) but trailed the U.S. Olympic diving (1.8) and men’s gymnastics (2.4) trials on NBC.
