ESPN’s Spake Joins Fox Sports
- ESPN sideline reporter Shannon Spake has joined Fox Sports in the same capacity, it was announced Wednesday. Spake will work the sidelines on Fox Sports’ lead college football broadcast team as well as college basketball and NFL games, and also serve as a pit reporter for NASCAR on FOX and Fox Sports 1. Spake had been with ESPN since 2006. (Fox Sports)
ESPN Exec Named Syracuse AD
- ESPN EVP of programming and production John Wildhack is leaving the company to become the athletic director at Syracuse. Wildhack had been with ESPN in a variety of roles since 1980 and will depart on July 28. (ESPN Front Row)
NFL Picks Up Fox Sports Reporter
- The NFL announced Friday that Fox Sports reporter Mike Garofolo has joined its media arm as a contributor to NFL Network and NFL.com. Garofolo had been with Fox Sports since Fox Sports 1 launched in 2013, having previously worked for USA Today and other outlets. (NFL Communications)
