Olbermann to Host ESPN Radio Special
- Former ESPN broadcaster Keith Olbermann will host ESPN Radio’s 25th Anniversary Special on January 4, the network said Wednesday. Olbermann, who is best known to sports viewers for his five years on SportsCenter in the mid-1990s and who most recently hosted his own show on ESPN2, was part of the original ESPN Radio cast in 1992. ESPN Re-Signs Bomani Jones
- ESPN announced Wednesday that it has reached a multi-year contract extension with Highly Questionable co-host Bomani Jones. Jones will continue in his current roles on HQ and ESPN Radio, in addition to unspecified projects yet to be developed. The Big Lead and Sporting News reported earlier in the fall that ESPN was considering a new one-hour talk show hosted by Jones and Pablo S. Torre. (ESPN Media Zone 12/21b)
Costas to Work NHL Winter Classic
- NBC Sports broadcaster Bob Costas will contribute to NBC’s coverage of the NHL Winter Classic on January 2, it was announced Tuesday. Per NBC, Costas will welcome viewers to the telecast, narrative features, and appear during pregame and intermission reports. He previously hosted NHL Winter Classic coverage from 2008-12.
