Thursday Night Football put up middle-of-the-road numbers for a less-than-stellar matchup.
The Week 15 Rams/Seahawks Thursday Night Football game had a 10.1 overnight rating on NBC and NFL Network, up 129% from Buccaneers/Rams on NFL Network alone last year (4.4). Of the nine TNF simulcasts on a broadcast network this year, the 10.1 ranks fifth — directly in the middle of the pack.
Five of the nine TNF simulcasts have had less than an 11.0 overnight, matching the previous two seasons combined.
NBC now owns three of the five highest TNF overnights this season, with one more telecast to go.
Seattle led all markets with a 40.6 rating, followed by Seahawks secondary market Portland (19.5). Richmond (14.0), New Orleans (13.4) and Norfolk, VA (13.1) rounded out the top five. Los Angeles was not among the top ten markets.
