EPL Champs Fail to Lift F.A. Cup Numbers
- Arsenal-Chelsea earned a 0.6 final rating and 836,000 viewers in last Saturday’s F.A. Cup Final on FOX, flat in ratings but down 18% in viewership from Manchester United-Crystal Palace last year (0.6, 1.0M), but up a tick and 3% respectively from Arsenal-Aston Villa in 2015 (0.5, 809K). It ranks third out of the five F.A. Cup finals on FOX.
Nearly 3 Million For Liga MX Final
- The second leg of the Chivas-Tigres Liga MX Clausura final had a 1.3 final rating and 2.9 million viewers on Univision last Sunday, up a tick in ratings and 7% in viewership from last year (1.2, 2.6M) and up 117% and 135% respectively from 2015 on Azteca (0.6, 1.2M). According to Sports Business Daily, it was the second-most watched Liga MX Clausura championship match on record. The first leg on May 25 had a 0.7 and 1.2 million on Univision Deportes Network.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Down at Charlotte
- NASCAR Xfinity Series racing from Charlotte earned a 0.7 final rating and 1.0 million viewers on Fox Sports 1 last Saturday, down 22% in ratings and 27% in viewership from last year (0.9, 1.4M) and down 46% and 47% respectively from coverage on the FOX broadcast network in 2015 (1.3, 1.9M). Ratings and viewership have declined for the past four Xfinity Series races.
