Overnight ratings inched up for NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Coca-Cola 600 from Charlotte drew a 4.1 overnight rating on FOX Sunday evening, up a tick from both last year and 2010 (4.0).
This year’s race stands as the third-lowest rated in the metered markets since FOX began televising the event in 2001.
The race matched the IndyCar Series Indianapolis 500 on ABC (4.1). In eight of the past nine years where the two events aired in the same day (excludes 2009), NASCAR has come out ahead in the final ratings eight times.
Neither race was as big a draw as the Thunder/Spurs NBA playoff game on TNT that night (5.7).
