- Last Thursday’s NBA Draft drew a 2.1 national rating on ESPN, up 5% from last year and tied with 2003 as the highest rated NBA Draft of the last decade. The Draft finished with 2.9 million viewers, putting it barely in the top 40 most watched programs on cable.
- NASCAR on TNT saw slight increases on Sunday. The Lenox Industrial Tools 301 drew a 3.4 rating with 5.5 million viewers, up 3% and 4% respectively from a 3.3 with 5.3 million last year. NASCAR finished tied as the highest rated program on cable for the week, but finished third in total viewers behind WWE Raw and the BET Awards Show.
- Coverage of the swimming and track & field U.S. Olympic trials finished with a 3.4 rating and 5.6 million viewers on Sunday night. The 3.4 rating marks a 19% decline from a 4.2 in 2004, and a 32% drop from a 5.0 in 2000. Track & field coverage on Saturday night drew a 2.2 with 3.4 million viewers.
