Sunday Night Football did not light up the ratings last week.
NBC drew an 8.1/13 final rating and 13.3 million viewers for Washington/Ravens last Sunday night, even in ratings and up 4% in viewership from an 8.1 with 12.7 million for Colts/Ravens on the comparable night in ’07.
Ratings peaked at a 9.0/14 from 9-9:15 PM Sunday. The last hour of the game (10-11 PM) averaged a 7.5 rating.
The 8.1 final rating is tied as the fifth lowest ever for a Sunday Night Football game on NBC.
So far this season, NBC is averaging a 9.9 rating and 16 million viewers for fourteen NFL telecasts, down 2% in ratings but virtually even in viewership from a 10.1 with 16.1 million through the same point in ’07. The 9.9 rating is also off 12% from an 11.2 through the same point of the 2006 season, NBC’s first airing Sunday Night Football.
