Snickers pulled its Lady and the Tramp-esque ad which featured two men kissing, after complaints that came not from the Christian right, but from gay rights groups. The commercial was viewed as homophobic, likely due to the fact that the two men “committ[ed] violence against themselves after they accidentally kiss[ed]”.
Meanwhile, the NRA is complaining over Kevin Federline’s Nationwide Commerical. The National Restaurant Association is up in arms over the fact that “[t]he commercial by Nationwide Insurance implies that Federline has fallen so low that he is now a “fry guy” at a fast-food restaurant.”
