TNT hit a playoff-high for the second game of the Clippers/Thunder series.
Game 2 of the Clippers/Thunder second round NBA playoff series earned 6.2 million viewers on TNT Wednesday night, up 16% from Warriors/Spurs last year (5.3M), but down 17% from Lakers/Thunder in 2012 (7.4M). Clippers/Thunder earned the largest audience of the playoffs on cable, topping the previous high of 6.0 million for Warriors/Clippers Game 7 in the first round.
The Clippers and/or Thunder have played in the four most-viewed games of the playoffs on cable and five of the top six. The nine most-viewed games on cable, and 15 of the top 16, have involved Western Conference teams.
Earlier in the night, Wizards/Pacers Game 2 drew 4.0 million, down 25% from Bulls/Heat last year (5.3M), but up 7% from Celtics/Sixers Game 3 in 2012 (3.7M). The Wizards/Pacers series accounts for the two least-viewed games of the second round (six telecasts).
