ESPN earned its largest audience ever for the NBA Draft Lottery.
The 2014 NBA Draft Lottery drew 3.4 million viewers on ESPN Tuesday night, up 16% from last year (2.9M), up 14% from 2012 (3.0M), and the most-viewed Draft Lottery ever on ESPN (dates back to 2004). The previous high was 3.1 million in 2010.
The 2003 Draft Lottery, which aired on ABC, remains the most-viewed since the event began airing as a standalone broadcast (6.0M).
Of note, the Draft Lottery had more viewers than last year’s actual NBA Draft (3.0M) — with the caveat that the NBA Draft airs for five hours.
