- ESPN has agreed to a multiyear deal with FOX Sports that will allow FS South, FS Southwest and Sun Sports to air 91 SEC matchups per-year. The deal includes 7 SEC football games — “by far the most [FSN] has ever aired” — 44 college basketball games and 16 baseball games. Bob Rathbun will handle play-by-play for the football games, while former ESPNer Fred Hickman will anchor studio coverage.
- NFL Network will televise every single NFL preseason game. The NFL Network preseason schedule includes 12 live telecasts — including a live doubleheader on Friday, August 14, and a live tripleheader on Saturday, August 15. The net will also rebroadcast nationally televised preseason games that originally aired on NBC, CBS, FOX and ESPN. Every NFL Network telecast will be in high-definition.
- ESPN is allowing viewers to “talk back” to one of its most divisive personalities. Viewers of ESPN First Take can now submit one-minute video rebuttals to Skip Bayless‘ various opinions via ESPN.com. The ‘best’ videos will air during ESPN First Take.
